Range of motion which is also known as ROM is the exercise of specific joint or gross limb and trunk movement. The technique load and stress soft tissues. ROM is selected as a therapeutic exercise by our physiotherapists in order to:
- Decrease pain
- Prevent Contracture
- Promote Circulation
- Maintain and promote elasticity
Our physiotherapists make the patients do stretching exercises so that to apply force in the end range of the tissue. This creates lasting changes in the soft tissue length. Our stretching exercises are very effective as we ensure that the exercises are very intense so that the soft tissues are heated to promote extensibility. Stretching exercises are selected for patients by our physiotherapists to:
- Enhance ROM
- Decrease pain
- Reduce posture impairment
- Increase strength
- Reduce functional mobility impairment.
