One of the vital processes of a woman's body is Menstruation which actually deserves utmost caution and self-care. Womens should maintain a proper hygiene during menses,  and eating right is the key to ease the pain you go through.Here are some hygiene tips which you should maintain during menstrual days.

Change your sanitary napkin every 4-6 hours-

The thumb rule keep on changing sanitary napkins or tampons within every 4-6 hours  to establish vaginal hygiene. Menstrual blood, when released from the body attracts various organisms from our bodies, which multiply in the warmth of the blood, and cause irritation, rashes or urinary tract infections. If you change your sanitary napkin from time to time you will get rid of  organisms and prevent infections to affect your vagina.

Wash yourself properly-

Another thumb rule is washing your vagina regularly is extremely important, because the organisms cling to your body after you have removed your sanitary napkin. There is a certain way of washing your vagina,use your hands in motion from vagina to anus. Remember it should be not vice versa,if done so it may lead to infection.

Don't use soaps or vagina hygiene products-

At normal days soaps and other hygiene products are good but avoid using these products during menses .As stated in the above paragraph vaginas have their own cleaning mechanism and these artificial soaps and shampoos may affect your vagina and may cause infection.

Take a bath regularly for menstrual hygiene

A number of cultures debar a woman from taking a bath during those days of the month.   Taking a bath during the menstrual cycle is the most hygienic thing you can resort to on your menses. Taking a bath at least two times a day immediately freshens your mood and relieves you off cramps and bloating that is quite common during these days.If you suffer from  back aches go for warm water shower.
